Highway 85 Storage LLC ("Highway 85 Storage," "we," "us," or "our") operates a self-storage facility in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website and the storage rental process, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Contact and identity information you give us when you request a reservation, join the waitlist, or contact us: name, email, phone number, and preferred move-in date.
- Rental and vehicle information if you become a tenant: vehicle/watercraft description, license plate, VIN, and registration, insurance, and identification documents you upload to complete your lease.
- Payment information processed through Stripe when you pay a reservation deposit or rent. We do not store your full card number — Stripe handles and stores that on our behalf.
- Gate access records — the date, time, and gate code used each time your assigned code opens the gate, kept for site security and lien-enforcement purposes.
- Communications — emails, texts, or calls between you and our staff about your reservation or lease.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site. We don't sell your personal information to anyone.
How we use your information
- To process reservations, create and manage your lease, and provision your gate access code.
- To bill and collect rent and fees, and to send receipts and account notices.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To enforce our lease agreement and exercise our rights under the Wyoming Self-Service Storage Facility Act (Wyo. Stat. § 29-7-101 et seq.), including in the event of a default.
- To comply with applicable law and respond to legal process.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Stripe — to process reservation and rent payments.
- Our email/SMS provider — to send account notices, receipts, and lease documents.
- Our staff — the people who manage the facility and your account.
- Law enforcement, lienholders, towing companies, or courts, when required by law or our lien rights under your lease.
Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections and access controls limiting tenant records to authorized staff — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information you provide.
Your choices
You can ask us to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below, subject to records we're required to keep (for example, lease and payment records, or lien enforcement documentation) under Wyoming law.
Children's privacy
This website and our storage rentals are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our site or facility after a change means you accept the updated policy.
